What this policy covers

This policy covers this website and its private client workspace. The Mac app has a separate app privacy policy. Uploading to the editing service sends files to cloud storage; using local editing in the Mac app is a different workflow.

Information collected and why

When you sign in, we receive your account identifier, email, and available display name from Google sign-in. We use them to identify you and protect your workspace. We do not receive your Google password. Website sign-in requests only your basic profile and verified email, not access to your YouTube channel, mail, or files.

We collect project titles, briefs, feedback, filenames, file sizes, and files you deliberately upload. These may contain images, voices, and other personal information. We use them to respond to requests, edit and deliver your videos, provide support, and maintain project records. Only upload material you have permission to share. Please do not upload passwords, payment details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Hosting and authentication providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and session cookies to deliver and secure the service. We have not added advertising pixels or third-party behavioral analytics. Paid checkout is currently closed. When enabled, Stripe will collect payment information directly; Clippy will retain purchase identifiers, billing status, name, and email, not full card details.

Software purchases and device activation

The public Mac sales page can be browsed without signing in. Software purchases create a customer record from your name and email. License validation processes your license identifier, a hashed random installation identifier, the Mac name submitted by the app, activation dates, and last verification time to enforce the three-device limit. This does not upload your footage, transcripts, projects, or YouTube credentials. The app stores its key and signed activation in the Mac keychain.

When connected, Stripe handles payment and billing, and Resend delivers transactional license emails to the purchase email. Those services are not yet enabled for live purchases. Software purchase does not automatically subscribe you to promotional email. Contact us to correct purchase information, address an activation issue, or request deletion, subject to records needed for active service, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Accounts and free group access

Purchases and group-code redemptions require an account. We collect your name, authenticated email, optional channel or business name, code-redemption record, access dates, acceptance timestamp, and email preference. The Clippy operator can view these records to provide access, updates, fraud prevention, and support. Other customers cannot view them. We retain these records while access is active and as needed for support, security, and applicable legal obligations; you may request deletion at any time.

Group codes provide complimentary software access for the period shown before you confirm redemption. Access is not conditional on promotional emails, selling information, or waiving privacy rights. Optional promotional consent starts unchecked and can be withdrawn in your account without losing group access. Essential account and service communications are separate. We have not enabled automated promotional emails. If you close your account, we cannot continue providing account-based downloads; contact us about your records or access before closure.

Who can access your information

Your workspace is limited to your signed-in account and the authorized Clippy operator. Submitted footage is available to that operator to carry out your editing request. OpenAI Sites provides hosting and authentication; Cloudflare provides database and file storage infrastructure. These providers process information under their own applicable service terms and privacy policies. Contacting us by email also uses email service providers.

This website does not automatically submit your uploaded footage to an AI model. If a proposed editing workflow requires another provider, we will explain that before using it. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not publish your footage as marketing material without your permission. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to address fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

Retention and security

Projects and uploaded files remain in your workspace until removed through a request to us. We periodically review whether information remains necessary for active service, support, or legal obligations. Do not use this service as your only backup. You can request earlier deletion below. Provider backups and security logs may remain for their applicable retention periods.

We use authenticated access and private file storage, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Processing may occur in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.

Your choices and privacy requests

Email Domditanna@gmail.com to request access, a copy, correction, deletion, or account closure. Identify the account email and request; do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary. We verify requests proportionately, allow authorized agents where applicable, and respond within applicable legal deadlines. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with “Privacy appeal.”

Depending on where you live and whether a law applies, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive personal information, opt out of sale, targeted advertising or qualifying profiling, limit qualifying uses of sensitive information, and receive service without discrimination for exercising rights. We offer the request channel above to all users. We do not conduct sale, advertising sharing, or eligibility profiling. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals do not change this site’s behavior because those activities are not enabled.

Children

This service is intended for adults age 18 and older, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it. Parents and guardians may use the same contact channel. Do not create an account for a child.

Changes

We update the effective date when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced on this website; where required, we will give additional notice or obtain consent before a new use of information.
