Terms of Use

Who can use Clippy

You must be at least 18 and authorized to submit the material you share. Keep your sign-in secure. Do not impersonate others, attempt to access another workspace, distribute malware, or submit unlawful, exploitative, or nonconsensual material.

Your content belongs to you

You retain your rights in submitted footage. You give us limited permission to store, access, edit, and deliver it to perform your requested service. You are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions from people, copyright owners, and other rights holders. We do not receive permission to use your footage in public promotion merely because you upload it.

Requests, software, and editing work

A workspace request is not a purchase or a commitment to perform paid work. We confirm scope, deliverables, turnaround, revisions, price, and payment terms separately before accepting a paid project. Mac software access requires an active license and a compatible Mac. Download and purchase availability are shown in your account and on the pricing page. Features and third-party integrations may change. Keep independent backups and review captions, edits, metadata, and publishing settings before use.

Subscriptions, licenses, and billing

New tiered subscriptions, when checkout is open, are Basic at US$29 per month or US$249 per year, Pro at US$59 per month or US$499 per year, and Agency at US$199 per month or US$1,699 per year, plus applicable taxes. Basic includes core manual clipping, editing, review, recording and manual exports with one simultaneous stream and one creator workspace. Pro adds automation, advanced tools and multi-platform scheduling with three streams and three workspaces. Agency adds client/business organization, account routing and parallel client workflows with up to 25 streams and 25 workspaces. Hardware and provider eligibility still apply. A workspace can hold multiple social accounts; it is not one platform login. The exact package and feature limits are shown for your explicit acceptance before payment. Existing all-tools licenses keep their originally sold access for their valid term; an existing all-tools subscription remains grandfathered while that original subscription continues. An old Basic label or billing interval alone does not downgrade those rights. New subscriptions renew until canceled; cancellation stops future renewal and preserves access through the paid period. Package changes currently require Clippy support. A pricing preview is not an open offer: checkout and individual package availability must be enabled before purchase.

Earlier US$249 non-renewing 12-month passes remain one-time purchases with their original access and update period. They do not automatically renew and are not converted into the current US$249 yearly subscription. Existing subscriptions and other earlier introductory purchases keep their original billing terms. No new one-time or lifetime plan is currently offered at checkout.

Three-day free trial

When offered at checkout, eligible new subscribers may start a three-day free trial with a payment card. No subscription fee is charged at signup. After three days, the selected plan automatically charges US$29 monthly or US$249 yearly, plus applicable tax, and renews until canceled. Cancel through My account → Manage billing before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. One trial per new subscriber; trial offers cannot be combined with discount codes. Existing subscriptions and earlier introductory purchases keep their original terms. Trial access ends no later than the confirmed trial expiry unless a paid period is confirmed.

Software purchases use your name and email for license delivery. A unique emailed license key is intended for up to three activated Macs. Reopening the same registered Mac does not consume another activation. Deactivate a Mac to free its slot or contact support if it is unavailable. Do not resell or publicly share your key. Internet is required for initial activation and periodic validation; signed offline authorization lasts up to seven days and never beyond the paid access period. Refunds, disputes, expiry, and canceled access can disable future license validation. Editing services and third-party AI charges are separate. Your footage and exported files remain yours.

Direct-download licensing is separate from any TestFlight beta or App Store distribution. Updates are included during the applicable access period. Supported Mac builds can check for updates and install a verified newer release after your confirmation; installation restarts the app. Save your work and stop active capture, rendering and uploads before choosing to install. Updates do not install silently in the background. Checkout discloses the selected price, renewal and cancellation terms and requests agreement.

Payment, subscription and refund support

Canceling renewal and requesting a refund are separate actions. Use My account → Manage billing to manage your subscription. For purchases processed through Stripe Managed Payments, open Link support from your email receipt or Link account for payment, subscription and refund requests. Stripe handles transaction support and assesses refund requests under the applicable purchase terms. This is a support path, not a guaranteed refund or a new refund period. Free group codes

A group code grants the signed-in account complimentary software access and updates for the number of months shown before redemption. No card, charge, subscription, or automatic renewal is created. Save your name and account email, check the code, review its period, and confirm to join. Codes have redemption deadlines and capacity limits and cannot be stacked. A disabled code stops new redemptions but does not remove previously granted access. Optional promotional email consent is not required.

Eligible accounts can download the signed Mac app from My account. Redeeming a code reserves access; the access period starts with the first available Mac download you request. Downloads and new versions are offered in your account during that period. This does not promise automatic in-app installation or lifetime updates. Exported content remains yours. Contact us to leave the program or request account closure; privacy rights remain available.

Delivery and third-party platforms

The website’s editing-service workspace handles project requests and feedback separately from the local Mac editor. Website media upload and download endpoints are disabled; use your own Mac or a customer-operated connection service for footage and remote previews. Local Mac workflows and that optional connection have their own import, review and publishing controls. We do not guarantee audience growth, revenue, or platform acceptance. Connected YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook Page Reels, Threads, X and Snapchat Spotlight use the queues supported by your build when properly configured and eligible. Provider approval, API access, account type, media hosting and costs can limit automated delivery. TikTok Direct Post additionally requires approved developer access and an individual review/audience decision for each video; use reviewed manual export when unavailable. Facebook personal profiles and Facebook Groups use reviewed manual exports. Platform accounts, permissions and eligibility are separate from a Clippy license. YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Apple and other third-party services have their own terms and availability requirements.

Availability and ending access

We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance or security and may restrict accounts that misuse it. You can request account closure and deletion by contacting us. Applicable privacy and consumer rights are not waived by these terms. To the extent permitted by law, beta services are provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Concerns

Please report privacy, content-rights, or safety concerns to our contact email with enough detail to investigate. Do not send illegal material as evidence. We will review reports and take appropriate action.
